Hyunjin Hong

Hyunjin's research focuses on elucidating the human genetic architecture through whole-genome data analysis. She is currently performing long-read whole-genome sequencing analyses of Korean autism family cohorts, with the goal of identifying genetic factors that contribute to autism. Her work places a particular emphasis on leveraging long-read sequencing technologies to resolve complex genomic regions—such as repetitive elements and structural variants—that are challenging to capture with short-read data.현진의 연구는 전장유전체 데이터 분석을 통해 인간 유전 구조를 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 현재 한국 자폐증 가족 코호트의 롱리드 전장유전체 시퀀싱 분석을 수행하며, 자폐증에 기여하는 유전적 요인을 식별하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 특히 롱리드 시퀀싱 기술을 활용하여 숏리드 데이터로는 포착이 어려운 반복 서열 및 구조 변이 등 복잡한 유전체 영역을 분석하는 데 주력하고 있습니다.
