Kyeongho Yeom

Kyeongho's research centers on exploring the genetic architecture of dementia through comprehensive whole-genome analyses. He is particularly interested in uncovering how genetic variants within noncoding regions and tandem repeat sequences contribute to the onset and phenotypic diversity of Alzheimer's disease. Currently, his research focuses on detecting tandem repeat variations associated with Alzheimer's disease. Through this integrative approach combining genomics, bioinformatics, and neuroscience, Kyeongho aims to broaden our understanding of the genetic mechanisms underlying dementia. His research seeks to uncover novel genetic markers for early diagnosis and identify potential therapeutic targets, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of neurodegenerative disorders in an aging society.경호의 연구는 포괄적인 전장유전체 분석을 통해 치매의 유전 구조를 탐구하는 데 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 비코딩 영역과 직렬반복 서열 내 유전 변이가 알츠하이머병의 발병 및 표현형 다양성에 어떻게 기여하는지를 규명하는 데 관심을 가지고 있습니다. 현재 알츠하이머병과 관련된 직렬반복 변이를 탐지하는 연구에 집중하고 있으며, 유전체학, 생물정보학, 신경과학을 결합한 통합적 접근을 통해 치매의 유전적 기전에 대한 이해를 확장하고자 합니다. 이 연구는 조기 진단을 위한 새로운 유전적 마커를 발굴하고 잠재적 치료 표적을 식별하여, 궁극적으로 고령화 사회에서 신경퇴행성 질환에 대한 깊은 이해에 기여하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
